"The moon bled. Then the Cinder King came down from the mountains."

Vaelgrym's flames took the forests, then the kingdoms, then the city itself. When nothing was left to burn, he tore open rifts between worlds and called his legions through. The rifts are still open, and the heroes who go in to stop them are all that stands in the way.

Why defenders stay

A tower defense action RPG built for co-op

You don't hover above the battlefield. You stand on it as a third-person hero, building the maze, managing gold, wood and technology, and fighting beside your towers in a fantasy world you share with everyone else still fighting.

Build the maze

Walls are half the game. Every other tower builds on top of a wall at a discount, so the shape of your maze and the shape of your defense are the same decision.

Stand on your towers

Towers level up mid-rift while your hero and pet stand on them. The towers that matter are the ones you are willing to hold while the wave arrives.

Four heroes

Knight, Archer, Engineer and Mage each bring their own stats and two abilities that change what your defense can do, and those abilities evolve as you collect your class set.
